entree 9: Ma Maison, Ampang Hilir

To all the french food lover out there, here's something that u don't want to miss out.
Recently a family friend has brought my mom and I to this french restaurant for lunch. At first I was thinking, "nah, French food is not really my taste"... but somehow, i still followed them there. When we first step into the restaurant, some french song was playing on the player. There's a piano on the right and a big portrait of the Eiffel Tower on the left. That restaurant might look really small but the environment was really nice. I think that this place is also suitable for those love birds who wants to find some quiet, romantic place to dine-in.
The interior and the exterior look totally different. From outside, this place is not really very attractive. If I happen to just pass by, I don't think that I will stop by.
Anyway, back to the restaurant. The owner was really friendly. He explained to us on the menu of the day and the food on the salad bar.
You might start wondering....hmmmm since the place look so nice and with the environment that sounds really classy, will the price be expensive??? No no no.... one surprising thing was the price for their salad buffet lunch. Guess what? it's only RM30. The salad bar is buffet style and there's a main course (different dishes for each day) included. You will never believe how reasonable the price was.
I strongly recommend this place to all my friends. :~) However, I will not be able to give any comment for their dinner (ala carte style) as I've not tried it before.

entree 8: laos local cuisine- the popiah

Laos local cuisine.
The popiah skin is made from rice flour. So before eatingn it, you need to soak it in water for a while and leave it to soften. Then put on your desired ingredients on the skin and wrap it.
The skin was a bit chewy.

entree 6: Canton Fare, Solaris Mont Kiara

Another dessert is here *grin*...

This Guai Fa Tong Yuen is really delicious. The inner part of the tong yuen contains black sesame paste that and the taste blend very well with the sweet guai fa soup. The price of this dessert is RM8 per bowl.

Mango Sago. another delicious dessert from Canton Fare. I never know that pamelo can actually match very well with mango.
This dessert is not available all the time as the main ingredient is a fresh and sweet mango. According to the waitress, if they couldn't get any fresh and sweet mango, this dish will not be available.

Other than desserts, Canton Fare is also well known for their Roasted pork (siew yuk). But sorry, i did not take a pic of it.
As their "Siew Yuk" is famous, you will sometimes need to call up and reserve a portion especially during the weekend.

Here's the other dishes available in CF.

Braised Pork (Tong Po meat)

Crab Meat with Egg. The taste is just nice to go with plain rice.
I'm not a fan of egg, but this dish has really attracted me.

entree 5:Chef Loong, SS2

ooo lala...it's been quite some time since i last posted anything here. Been pretty busy with my uni stuff. Anyway, I would like to intro on place today. A place where you can get tasty, reasonable chinese food.

This is another favorite of mine. the prawn is covered with this crispy outer layer. dipping it into the mayonnaise will be the best~

This dish may look like normal, but the transparent glassy noodle really taste nice. Don't really remember the name tho...

entree 4: Buffet Steamboat @ Yuen, Mentari Plaza, Bandar Sunway

Fresh. Varieties. Value for money (RM22 per person). Halal. Clean. YUMMY!!!

The soup is the steamboat's core ingredients. and the soup base in Yuen is delicious. they have clear soup and tom yam soup. For those who can't really eat food that's too spicy, this tom yam soup is just nice for you. For the clear soup, you can actually add in other ingredients yourself to make it more tasty. For example, you can add in some herbs, lotus root, winter melon and etc. Just use your own creativity to make it tastier.

For the seafood lover, coming to Yuen is a right choice too. They have crabs, prawns, lala, escargot, fish, squids, mantis prawn, and other shell seafood. all of these seafood is fresh and you don't need to worry that it will smell very fishy. For those who don't really eat seafood or have allergy towards it, don't worry. There is other ingredients that you can eat and all of it also taste nice and most importantly, it's fresh.

Other than the steamboat's ingredients, this restaurant is also famous for it's honey chicken wing. Once it's served, people will rush towards it and grab as many as they can. sounds a bit like over right? But this is the truth. The chicken wings are coated with a layer of honey and that make the chicken wing to taste sweet. If you eat it while it's still hot, it will taste even better. other than these, there are ice creams an other local kuih too. Everything is buffet style, so you just need to get up from your chair and walk to it. You can take as much as you can but remember, every 100g unfinished food will be charged RM6. So don't waste the food and take the amount of food that you think you can finish.

The restaurant's environment is clean and the waiters and waitresses there cleans every table very effectively. You may need to wait for tables but trust me, it really worth it. Yuen is a 3 stories shop lot located at Mentari Plaza, Bandar Sunway. This place is easily reachable and there are quite a lot of parking lots too.
